They run for Mitchell
The 12th annual Mitchell's Run Thru Rockford drew around 1,950 runners and walkers on Saturday. The event, a fundraiser for Parent Project MD, has grown every year since its inception and has become a premier 5K run for avid runners.

Police department grows with city
Tuesday, August 3 was selected as the United State's celebration of drawing together and becoming a safer nation. True to form, the police department is pulling together and planning a special evening highlighting some of its programs, including its seven Neighborhood Watch groups, D.A.R.E., Child Safety and Fingerprinting and the events the police sponsor each year.

The special evening will also feature free food, entertainment and plenty of fun for those who attend.
