Rockford Rotary Club's Sweetheart Splash was another hit with hundreds of onlookers on Saturday.
The event, which takes place at the Rockford Dam, features people of questionable thought processes, jumping in the icy waters of the Rogue River - all in the name of love.
This year's event featured plenty of laughs and entertainment as participants vied for trophies in the single, couple and group categories. It also featured a genuine wedding proposal.
WOOD-TV's meteorologist Matt Kirkwood took the plunge when $1,500 was raised at the event.
Winners were: Singles: The Rev. Jason Hubbard; couples: Jenny Frasco and Jody Jernigan performing to "All That Jazz;" and the newly crowned winner of the group category, the Rockford Fire Department.
The event is a fundraiser for the clients of the North Kent Service Center. The total amount raised was unknown at press time.
